She's first shown guarding the Mermaid Gem. History Biography She seemed mean at first, but it turns out she's just lonely, and only keeps the Mermaid Gem because it was the only reason anyone came to her cave. Powers Appearance The Sea Monster is rather pretty despite her name. She is humanoid, has purple skin, long blue hair, a blue green body, pink tentacles, green eyes, and what appear to be blue stones on her forehead. Appearances Season Two Mermaid Mayhem (First Appearance) Notes Trivia Aside from coloration, hairstyle, waistline, and age difference, she looks vaguely Ursula from Disney's The Little Mermaid. She is much prettier and cuter than her title name suggests. Although when she first appears on screen, she is asleep and we can only see her tentacles, which initially make her seem much bigger than she really is. She is a Cecaelia, which is like a mermaid or merman, only with octopus tentacles. The only reason she kept the Mermaid Gem in her cave is because she thought no one would come if she didn't have it, suggesting that she was a very lonely person prior to meeting Shimmer, Shine, Nila, and Leah.
